This is written for my daughter, Beth, who loves reading my poems and responses, here on the forum.

The Golden girl
with the sky blue eyes,
has a spirit that soars
  with the wind.
She dances and sings
to her hearts own tune,
and filled is her song,
with the sounds of spring.
Her heart beats with
the love of the stars.
They shine in her soul,
like the midnight sky.
Every life that she touches,
  is never the same,
for she brings her joy,
she brings her laughter,
and like fireflies on a
  warm summers eve,
your heart lights up,
without knowing why.
Of one thing I'm sure,
  that her destiny,
is in just being,
the golden girl with the
  sky blue eyes,
and the universe will be
  a brighter place,
because she danced upon it,
  and sang her song!

Ellie, how very lovely, reminds me of one of my daughter's and her personality, with out the golden hair, her's is raven, or brunette. Raven just sounds more poetic, I think. Have a great day! Talk to you soon.

Ellie,  This is a wonderful tribute to your daughter, Beth--who must be something special if she takes after her Mother in any way.  It is blessed that you can use this medium as a means of interacting /sharing with her.  I'm sure she will treasure this for years to come!

And Hi to you Beth,  Just wanted you to know that I think your mother is a very special lady, who is very well respected and loved around here.  I cherish her as a very Spiritually minded, and gifted poet, and dear friend.  I hope you also can be open to her many qualities.

This reply is from ellie's daughter, Beth.  I have been enjoying her poetry since I have been a little girl, and I am so happy that she has found a way to share her beautiful writings to people who can appreciate them.

As for the "golden girl with the sky blue eyes"...I have had many obstacles to overcome in my life, some of which I didn't think I would get through...but with my mothers unconditional love, she has always helped me to see, no matter how bad my situations were, that I am a beautiful, strong woman who can make it through anything.

Reading this poem made everything so simple...reminding me that my spirit is free, and I felt like a little girl again...peeking in the kitchen as my mom and dad slow danced to their favorite songs...My mother has taught me that life and love can be simple if I would surrender to God, but that, too, is one of the many obstacles I am trying to overcome.  I could use all the prayers you have to offer!!

Thanks again,

Beth

Ellie..this is beautiful.  I have 2 sons and 1 daughter, each so special in their own way...but there's a connectedness to Karrie that can't be explained.  As someone said, children are our gifts from God.  Linda

Dear Ellie - Well, I am so glad that your Beth is here, I hope she brings all of yours back up, otherwise, I'm going to have to dig through these archives myself!!!!  What a (I have to find another word to use, I'm really getting tired of this one)...beautiful piece this is, especially knowing how special it is to your daughter.  Never more does your sweetheart just shine through than when you write of your children.  Bonnie

Thank you Ellie for your poem of free flowing Spirit and thank you Ellie's daughter for the lovely testimony of your life growing up in a home full of Love... I also have a blond haired and blue eyed wonder... Neither parent has blond hair and I have brown eyes, so she truly is a wonder?   Bob <><
