Ads of roses and jewels, heartshaped,
make many a lonely heart ache
secretly longing to be told
"You're so special to have and to hold"

You really do have a Valentine
to bathe you in comfort, devine.
Words of love put in writing,
so uplifting, warm and inviting.

To write, many years it took
More than a card, it's a book
of letters written to you
from God, so you'd know they're true.

He gave you fields of flowers,
and through your faith, great powers.
In love, He died in your place
then offered you heaven by grace.

A valentine that eternally lasts
healing regrets of the past,
lifting weights of deepest sorrows
and worries of unknown tomorrows.

It's many love stories unfold
with treasures more precious than gold.
We can better our lives all the time,
reading the bible, our valentine.

Sandgrain, as my husband thought I had spent the day alone on this Valentine,Day, because he had to work, when he called me later in the afternoon, to say he was sorry he had to work, I told him I was never alone, The greatest love story ever written is bound in a leather back book that I read everyday, this poem hit home with me, as it will so many others,
Thanks
Sandy

Wow, this poem just all of a sudden hit me.  Lots of things have been going on in my life and this poem just seemed to have a meaning to my life because I've strayed so far from God.  Thanx for the write, it made me think.
