Tell the World About Jesus

There in a Geto underneath a cardboard box,
is lying an old man all alone,
the people passing by him,
they won't take the time to stop,
not realizing the old man's time is short.

Not very far from him in a little three room shack,
sets a Mother as she holds her children close,
she sings to them a sweat LaLa by,
not knowing were their next meal will come from.

Tell the World about Jesus,
He knows and understands,
He will mend the broken hearted,
he will lend a helping hand,
be a witness for the Father,
We must tell men everywhere,
Tell the world about Jesus,
Tell the world that he cares,

Kneeling in a Garden Jesus finds his self alone,
with the burdens of the world upon his back,
He begins to pray, as his sweat turns to blood,
now knowing that his time has come at last.

With every step he takes as he walks up Calvary's hill,
as each nail pierced his precious hands,
he could have called Ten Thousand Angles to carry him away,
BUT INSTEAD, HE DIED TO SAVE THE SOUL OF MAN,

So tell the world about Jesus, he knows and under stands,

beautiful message and so inspirational...
this one reads like a song...one angels could sing. take care janet marie

"...we were born before the wind...also younger than the sun...
and my heart you have won...as we sailed into the mystic...
I just want to rock your gypsy soul-
just like in the days of old...
and together we will float-into the mystic...

you know what? You should bring this to your church, and let the worship team make this into a song (or do it yourself!) - i really loved this!  I'm also curious as to what your user name stands for?

Thank you for your comments, as for OWPEMT it stands for Oscar William Patton Emergency Medical Tech. This is my husband, he is a Prof. Fire Fighter and Advanced EMT. As for the Poem, I travel with a non prof. Southern Gospel Group and I did have this poem placed in a song and copyrighted. The music is as pretty as the words, thanks to the Lord and his blessings,Thanks again for making feel at home here.
