Go forth my soul and spread the word
Of His great grace; of second birth;
Decreed for all; so few have heard
So shout my soul throughout the earth.

Longs so each soul for joy sublime;
Opines each heart for peace divine;
Viewed, lo, by some as wasted time;
Expressed for all - His grand design.

And slight is the sting of his trouble
Whose winnings are less than his worth;
For he who is honest is noble,
Whatever his fortunes or birth.~~~Alice Cary, ~Nobility~

Denise,
This is a wonderful acrostics with a beautiful message-might it be considered today as "GOD's VALENTINE"-from the Father and the Very Epitomy of Love? As his spokesperson you have done fine here.  David

Denise I must have missed this one, I don't recall reading it before!  Thank you for reposting it here and sharing it with us! The ultimate love we can have is from Him on this day or any other! Great job Denise!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO YOU!

 In the time we've known
That we each are a part of one another
We've lost as much as we have won...
And as our lives have grown
We have found that it only brings us pain
To hang on to the things that we have done...

Thank you, Janet Marie! I'm glad you liked it! I have been posting some of my older ones since I am once again in serious writer's block   Also, due to computer problems I have fallen way behind in reading and responding to others' poems, so I'm afraid I'm not doing too much encouraging at the moment either   But thank you for your lovely comments! You made me smile!

Thank you, Denise for sharing with us this
almost Davidian song of praise and joy!  Not
only did you give us a touching message, but
you also managed to put into such appealing
form by your deft use of rhyme and meter. It
really sings! Being a first generation older
immigrant, I'm still trying to improve my
English rhyming vocabulary and phraseology,
and am learning much from your poetry.

Amen Denise...He does have a grand design I know.  Maybe if I exercise a little patience I will see what God ahas intended for me all along.  I'm sure I fit into that plan of His somewhere, I just can't wait to find out how & where.  The one thing I do know - is it starts NOW!  Beautiful acrostic btw - sorry for babbling on about myself.
