One night while fast asleep,
I had the strangest dream.
My Savior, Jesus, and I
were standing near a stream!

His hand was on my shouder,
as He whispered in my ear.
His voice was soft and gentle,
but loud enough to hear!

He said to me, "my child,
please try to forget,
all that has been done to you,
so your pathway will be set!"

I didn't quite understand,
so I asked what I should do.
He said, "Put your past behind,
and quit living just for you!"

Right then my heart stopped beating,
my jaw was on the floor.
I didn't think that He could see
who I was living for!

I asked Him to forgive me,
and He said without a doubt...
"Your sins they are forgiven
I have cast those demons out!"

 Did Jesus laugh?
I think He did,
'cause He was once
a little kid;
and all of us
were made with joy
both sugar-spice girl
and snake-snail boy!

Melanie, I really don't know what to say here. Music to my ears.  He's right ya know! I hope you can put it behind you, leave it with Him, and go on and Live for Him!  Not just words I want to hear, but ones I hope you live by sweetie!

When you can't make up your mind
Which way is right for you,
Stop and softly ask yourself,
What Would Jesus Do?

Melanie, I have read your beautiful poems for months and I must say each new one shows how your pain is drifting away through the power of Jesus. You are a wonderful witness of how He works in our lives. Thank you for sharing each and every one.

Julie is so right you know - they all are.  It's so awesome seeing you grow stronger still in the Lord, watching Him lead you into a place where everything you do and say will glorify His name.  Thanks for sharing parts of your walk with God that i just know will touch other people's walks and impact them the way your poems have mine.  Bless you hon.
