A friend of mine wrote this but I like it so much I want to share it:

Did I run too fast
Did I run too slow
Lost somewhere out there
With no where to go

Tried so hard to find
The so un-known
Did it by myself
Always alone

And now I see a different me...

Take my hand
Never understood
Your demands
Raging on
Like a fire's will
Never understood
How to feel

Why is it so hard
So hard to find
The one to hold
For all times

Down on my knees now
Asking why
Trying to see the clues
That you hide

Pushing on
Asking questions
Like where were you
back then
And now I see
All these things were
Leading you to me

the only comment i have to make is about the 2nd or 3rd stanza from the bottom.  sometimes we try too hard to find god and seek his clues.  Sometimes they are not hiding at all

you can't make footprints in the sand of times that you are sitting down

He has a way of letting us run our way, and when we hit the end of the road, we know we have to turn around. He is there for us! He has a way of doing that! He leads us home, we are the sheep, he the shepherd.

When you can't make up your mind
Which way is right for you,
Stop and softly ask yourself,
What Would Jesus Do?

It's true, We're the ones who turn away. Jesus is always there, waiting to love us into wholeness. This is great, thanks for sharing with us.
