Sometimes, I feel there is no hope
I feel such terrible despair
That I can only sit and cry
And wish that someone would care

But then, I sit up and realize
That Jesus died for my sin
He died so I could live
And see the sun rise again

And then I know what a gift
That this wonderful life is
And I know that a better life awaits
With only happiness and bliss

And, despite of all the things
That are wrong with our lives
We still live in such a beautiful world
And with a Lord that hears our cries

And, when you are in the black of night
Just remember what they say
"After the darkest night
Must come the brightest day"

What an incredible poem of HOPE! This is about being human and needing Him every moment. Thank you, lovebug.

How truly fickle we are, seeing His wonders then turning to despair.  Your well done writing speaks for all and brings home the point that just remembering Jesus can turn us from our pittypot to feeling filled and gratefull.

This was great. I wrote something similuar to this called "Stop! Look Around."

It is hard to see sometimes when we are in despair, that His light will shine again. But it does! This was well written, full of hope and beautiful!

Which way is right for you,
Stop and softly ask yourself,
What Would Jesus Do?

Lovebug-
As a born again it was a hard thing to swallow but i use this tactic a lot when counseling friends.  No matter how bad our circumstances his were worse. You think your having a bad day, think about that Friday.  Calvary was a sad place to be.  I truly enjoyed your poem, I think it is important for us, as christians to be well, less self centered.  I mean that in the most loving way
