Dovesong your recent poem reminded me of this one I wrote sometime ago, so I thought I would post it here as it seems as tho you are living proof it can be done with God's help.

         Although

Although his heart was breaking
Although his friends were gone
Although he was betrayed
Although he hung in shame
From his aching heart, he cried
Father forgive them..
For they know not what they do.

When my heart is breaking
When my friends are gone
When I feel betrayel
Can I look beyond my pain and loss
and ask the Father
To help me to forgive them
With his love.

Hi, Septsong; This poem is a real reminder of His ultimate sacrifice for all of us. Foorgiveness the lesson, peace the reward, oneness with God the greatest gift. I love your poetry. I look forward to every one.

Septsong,
very sweet poem...and a lovely reminder of his healing and patient love, so glad you shared it. take care janet marie

Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme,
They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-
remain the most beautiful words ever heard.

You know that's a good question to ask~
It is in the face of adversity that most start to blame God for things going wrong.
When things are going right, how often do we think of Him?  When they go wrong, how quick are we to curse him for it?
I liked this very much! I'm glad you were reminded of it!
