               "Close As The Wind"
What's all this noise, coming from the human voice.. talking 'bout where, what, why, who and when.
God set it in motion, you can ask the first man, 'cause he was with God way back then.
Take another look, it's there, in the Book..
I think the last time, it was God you mistook.
Just read it again, I think you'll understand..
He's just trying to lend you a hand.
Quiet yourself, for the Father speaks soft.. in Truth He will show you the way.
And you'll know He's as close as the wind on your lips, every time your lips part to pray.

How inspiring.  Just beautiful...
Quiet yourself for the father speaks soft...

He's as close as the wind on your lips...

Oh, I really like this.  Look forward to more from you.

Another fine poet has joined here.

Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme,
They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-
remain the most beautiful words ever heard.

Dear "Shock Gospel",  why don't you give us a name to call you by, rather than just a name to characterize your message (which it does very well)?  Another point I wish to make is that I really don't want to use the overworked epithet of "beautiful" for your poems, because they are more than that.  They are attractive, touching, convincing,
and gospel-based. And well-formatted, too.
Congratulations, and God bless you!

I like the way you present the gospel truths.
Elijah taught us that we only hear His voice in the quiet breeze, and you have captured that message very eloquently. Thank you.

I see you've tried to fit a lot into this poem! It's hard to try and get everything in there isn't it?  You're right we were all with Him way back when, and it is in the book.  We need to search and it even states, here a little, there a little!  Straight forward, just the way I like it...very much the way I write!

Hi kiddies of all ages,
shock gospel is really Stevie G., least that's what everybody round these parts call me. Shock Gospel is acutally the name of a very bizarrrrrr show I created for our local cable access channel. It's a kind of Saturday Night Live, Kids in the Hall, Christian sketch comedy show. If you live in the Louisville Ky. area you can see it on T.K.R. Ch. 70, EVERY MONDAY AT 4 P.M. I'm glad you all like the poetry. I don't really "do" poetry, But God sat me down last year for about two weeks and this stuff just kinda came out of my spirit. There is a total of about 30 pieces titled "Once Upon A Time" (poems God wrote) and I'm glad God's using it to turn up the fire in your spirits.
May Gods peace and grace enrich  your lives in Christ Jesus to who the phrase,
"You Da Man" applies quite well, don't you think?

To whom.. to whom the phrase, told you I wasn't a writer. Feel free to correct me if you see goofs in my poetry.
               with love from above,
                         Stevie G.
