Sitting here by myself,
Feeling cold and empty.
This solitude has caused me to fall.
I have fallen on my path of life.
Tripped and lost my way.

The pain I feel right now
Has hit me like a brick wall.
Why such an unbearable obstacle
Have you thrown in my way?
Would God block my path of life?

As time goes by,
I see his light.
I have been walking into a dark corner.
I turn and see...
God standing there
With his arm’s wide open.
Ready to embrace me with his love,
And show me how to walk back in the
LIGHT!

I dedicate this poem to my best friend Jeff who resonantly died in a car accident.  Jeff... I hope you found God and I look forward to the day that we will be able to meet again.  I will miss you immensely and not a day will go by that I will not think of you.  Your death has truly been an obstacle for me to overcome.  God Bless you my friend! You will be missed.

Jer this brought tears to my eyes. God does not throw the obstacles in our path, but makes our path straight.  Like he did for you to be able to go and say goodbye to your friend!  I know this has and is hard on you!  Keep your faith, and God bless ya Jer!

Hey, where's the graphic at?  Do you want it on here?

There are many curve balls thrown at us as we play in this game called life. We must rest our faith in the hands of our great umpire. He knows what is fair and what is foul.

Rest on him and on us, your friends. we all will help you in this time of mourning. ((((hug))))

Oh Jer, this is such a great poem. Although terrible things may happen, it is all for a reason that is beyond our understanding. We just have to trust in Him. I'm glad you know that life doesn't end with this world! As you know, you are my friend and I'll always be there for you like you've been there for me!

Jer...Im deeply saddend by your loss, I will pray for your healing in this time...your poem is a loving tribute to your friend and I know your faith is helping you get thru...as well as your writing. Say strong and find release in knowing he is guiding you now...

Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme,
They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-
remain the most beautiful words ever heard.

Jer, once again you write from so deep in your heart  it evokes strong feeling from each reader.  I'm sorry for the loss of a dear friend.  Hopefully you can look at the time you had with him as an enrichment you'll have to share with others....living on.  We always have to be thankful for each soul we come across in life, for however long we can enjoy their company. It's grace.  I'm not deserving of your lines but certainly blessed by your sharing.  Thanks
