I'm sitting here filled with wonder
At the amazing things you do
How the waters stay in the oceans
And the vast beauty of the view

How the stars are hung in the sky
Within them is written your word
How we are the following sheep
And you are the only Shepherd

How the sky is painted with color
Bursts of orange in the sunset glow
How much knowledge it took to make
And how little us humans know

How intricately you planned it
There was nothing you left unthought
From the delicacy of a baby
To all the sins of ours you bought

There's no other love that's out there
As deep and as faithful and true
No other comfort to be found
Because nothing compares to you

Nothing compares to your miracles
Or the listening time you spend
How you always take good care of us
And our broken hearts that you mend

To us, our problems like mountains
To you, they're no problem at all
You're ever so watchful and there
To help catch us, when we do fall

I'm just sitting here filled with wonder
At the awesome things that you do
At being our Lord and Savior
Because nothing compares to You!

Where there is faith,
there is love.
Where there is love,
there is peace.
Where there is peace,
there is GOD.
Where there is GOD,
there is no need.

*singing* Cause nothing compares, nothing compares, to youuuuuu.....hehe sorry couldn't resist, this is beautiful Rebecca, and oh so true, nothing does compare to Him, and it did take much knowledge for Him to make everything...so much more then we can ever comprehend.  Though some will claim they know everything yet be totally wrong).  Nothing can compare to anything that He does and what He does is truly a blessing!  This is beautiful!

Just be glad I'm not your child! *evil grin*

Rebecca,
this is SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!...sometimes I just sit in awe of the beauty around us...all his gifts to us...from sunrise to sunset...so much to be thankful for...
this poem expresses these emotions with grace...
take care, janet marie

Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme,
They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-
remain the most beautiful words ever heard.

Absolutely breathtaking....His love and your writing.  Whenever we really consider Gods design and grace, we realize how small and petty we are.  Thanks for posting this.  Love, Mom

Wonderful is our Lord, and the works of His Hands.  I thank you, sweet WhtDove, for using your talents, instead of burying them in the sand.

And thank you for letting us see the works of your hand.

Thank you doves. You are very welcome. I enjoy reading your work, as well as everyone in the forum.  This place is just awesome!
So many talents have come together here, and it's such a huge blessing!

Tori, well I don't know if He smiled on me! But that would be great. HE is the potter and I the clay. So work away! hehe  Thanks girl! Love ya!

He is awesome and ful of wonder, Rebecca.  nothing can compare to Him...and the little things we witness here on earth will be nothing compared to what we see in heaven.  Beautiful poem.  Words I really needed to hear too.

Whtdove - not only did this beautiful poem remind me of that song (yes it definitely comes through in the poem), it made me think of a small child, always in awe of it's surroundings.  Such a grateful spirit, and with such grace that you delivered it.  It is those with childlike spirits that are pleasing to God... he sure will be smiling at you my dear.  Thanks for sharing!
