Do you  see the majesty of this place?
The holy grail of God's art work displayed.
Feel the crispness of the air and the clean
smell of the breeze, more wholesome than
a million scented candles it wafts thru the
mind and clears ones head with it's pureness.
See the brilliance of the sun, feel the warmth
upon your face, watch the flowers unfold before
you lifting their blossoms heavenward in the reverent glory of the sun.
Yellow, green, red, purple, pink, blue,
colors of the sky at sunset and dawn all over this
awesome, diverse world of shimmering desert
sands to the vast colors of green covering the
majestic forests.
A rainbow of faceted gems, forming the skies
jeweled crown as it shimmers in the distance, never
quite within reach.
As the snow gently falls silently around me, I see you are recreating and rejuvenating  the world.
I know that if I choose to see, tomorrow when I
awake, there will be a world, newly created
with your wondrous paintbrush.
Just as you continue to do your works around me,
you continue to do your works within me.....
If only we would see.....

Thank you all for the warm welcome and the words of encouragement.  I surely thank God for leading me to this place.  What better place to make new friends and read such wonderful, creative writing. I stayed up very late last night and read every poem on the current page and was so blessed by all.  God Bless, Anita

WhtDove, LOL.  You are right to giggle.  My first time in the place and it was like I was thirsty.  I am an avid reader and the diversity of writing and thoughts in here really grabbed me.  In time maybe I will calm down.  LOL  I see there are other pages, however I will try to hold myself back for now.

I too wish to welcome you to Passions.
I smiled when I read your replies...I am fairly new here also and I am always found on my computer reading all the works of art in this magic place. Everyone here is so kind, supportive and talented...and you fit right in...Enjoy your stay...your poem was beautiful...I loved it...
Take care, Janet Marie

Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme,
They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-
remain the most beautiful words ever heard.

This piece is a magic charm. I, too, have ften had the same thought, "If only we could see." Evry facet of existence has always been to me a newly revealed piece of the grand puzzle that is this universe. Even science (I'm big on science) has never threatened, for me, that wonder at the gloriousness of reality. Old timey Deist scientists like Isaac Newton used to think that way. Their profession did not seem to them to preclude their faith. I wonder what went wrong along the way.
Nice work.

Anita, never before have I seen such a beautiful, comprehensive word picture of God's creation as it is displayed in nature around us! Yes, if only more people would be willing to see it as clearly as you do...
I myself have written some poems carrying a similar message as your essay, but much more concise, probably because of a less abundant artistic talent than you have. This was a very good essay, or even a convincing sermon.
But I would like to see a poem from you on the same theme, please?  No hurry.

Willem
