I lay alone
Listening for the phone
Waiting for your sweet voice
To bring me a new choice

To save me from the everyday
To show me a new way
Waiting for your light
To show me some new plight

Your sweet glance
Giving me a new chance
A sweet word
Sends me soaring, as if I were a bird

A gentle touch
Is almost too much
But here I lay
With the passing of another day

Dear Budhha; How about "waiting for the Epiphany". This is a deep poem about your hearts longings, and I want to tell you that you don't need a phone call to feel free, because it's all right there inside of you. Just take a look and see what a beautiful person and best friend you have right there. Also, right here at this forum. Keep up the great writting here. I want to hear more of your work.

Beautiful poem Buddha,
Ellie's title suggestion is great...or for a simpler thought...from the poem itself..."The Passing of Another Day"
whatever the title... the poems message is lovely.Janet Marie

Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme,
They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-
remain the most beautiful words ever heard.

A beautiful poem.  I agree with ellie about finding the light inside of yourself.  Or look to God for the comfort.  Often what we need is right here within us to bring us along the path of life.  Bless you.  Keep writing, it's good.

I like your poem very much! Though we need to lean on God for our choices. "Be still and know that I am the Lord." For God is the one who can save you.

I didn't particularly find this spiritual, but I will leave it here. Maybe there is something I missing here.

I did enjoy this poem, and I guess it can convey more than one meaning. Great writing!

Where there is faith,
there is love.
Where there is love,
there is peace.
Where there is peace,
there is GOD.
Where there is GOD,
there is no need.

perhaps your anguish is partially due to a lack of confidence in mind and it's healing power. for years one works at bringing mind to a balance thus bring perception to balance thus bringing all into balance. it is not healthy to look to an outside influence for anything intangible. If you have love, wonderful. if not, find it and happiness will find you. this talk of god as saviour is ludicrous, you must acccept your will to love as god accepts his own will to love. If we are fitted in his image than it is our responsibility to protect and love every human being more than god himself.
Or as the beatles say.. "all you need is love"
