Even angels leave footprints
Where others won't tread
They soften one's heart
Help turn around those misled

God's own special messangers
He sent from above
To be there for us
And leave His footprints of love

He sends one to each of us
And in many forms
A friend or a loved one
To help us weather the storms

They have the power of God
No one they must fear
They walk in your life
They just suddenly appear

They're not around for to long
Impressions they'll leave
Of God in your mind
In Him, they'll help you believe

When they've done what they came for
They fade in the night
As quick as they came
They are gone out of sight

Even angels leave footprints
To wear on our heart
We're not always aware
That they're there from the start

DA thanks girlfriend! I'm glad you found it comforting, cause it wasn't that way when I wrote it. haha

Shawna what a compliment you give! Thanks so much my friend. God Bless you!

Thank you Melanie! I love that picture too, and I thought it would go nicely with this!

Ellie it does make one tend to stare at if for a while don't it?  haha I have done the same, it is a beautiful picture!  As for child like faith, well I wish I had it! But I do believe in angels...which are just like we are. Just messangers of God. Keep asking God to watch you over you, as I'm sure He's got you safe and secure!

Rebecca, you always amaze with your tender heart,
no matter the trouble or from whence it would start

Rebecca i don't want to sound repitious or anything, but what a beautiful poem, and picture!  It's amazing how many people pass through your life oh so briefly but bless you in such a way that you are left strengthened, empowered for God, and blessed so immensely you know they were sent from God - i never thought of giving them the title Angel but i guess that's what they are... so neat to think a few have been in my life already, and i've still got more of my life to go!  Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed this one.

Ruth thank you! You have angels my friend. I know you're going through a rough time. I'm so sorry! You will be in my prayers.

Pepper thank you! And thanks for being one in mine too! =)

Tori thanks so much girlfriend! That was touching! Thank you, thank you!! hugs!

Sept thank you for reading and replying! Actually the first line was mentioned by someone and I thought it would go nice in a poem!

LOL Suthern!  Thanks for that I needed that!
haha...sometimes that's just what we need, and I'm sure I have a few of those too! hehe

Mirjam thanks so very much!  You've hit the nail right on the head. That is exactly what I'm talking about! They seem to come in and leave there mark and then they're gone.  Always seems to be someone who has touched your life and only been there briefly. I've had a couple too and I noticed that as I read people tell their stories. Always someone that appeared, helped them, then was gone!  Thank you mirjam!

Beautiful words indeed.  So comforting and she is a cherub ain't she?

Rebecca, very sweet poem. It makes me both happy and sad. it's a beautiful image you have presented here, but it's so close to my heart it hurts! It makes me think of a very close friend who was indeed an angel, and who has now passed away. Although it saddens my heart, it also gives a very reassuring, comforting message, that i will one day find an angel as sweet as my Mathew. Thankyou!

Asparagus, I'm sorry it brings you sadness, and glad it could bring you joy! It's very hard to lose someone we love. Rest assured they are watching over you and are in a much better place now! Ya never know, this one may be your "guardian angel."

Welcome to the forums and I hope that you will find hope and love here! I'm glad this could touch you in such a way! God Bless you!

It seemeth to me Lady, that thou art thee angel spoken of in this beautiful writing. Mayhaps if thou were to turn thy head quickly enough thou wouldst be able to perceive thine own wings. Surely, my Lord hath guided thine hand.

Surely this poem of yourn will outlive us all! Thanks for the most excellent read..
