I'll soon be a half cent'ry old < !signature-->Oh how could that be so? How swift the moments of our lives Transverse the "White" Rapids flow! And how strange, Time's experience Which drags slowly when one is Young, But then, like our Life progresses From crawl, to Walk, to RUN! My years, I'm not regretting For to me, Time has been Kind, Tho' it's caused me to slow down a bit But itself, to full speed, is resigned! I no longer take for Granted The Blessing of each day, For many, younger than myself Are now gone and passed away! To me Fifty is a Milestone But it's credit I can not take, For such belongs to God above-- Who has blessed me for His Sake! And if, perchance, I should e'er see That Biblical Three-Score and Ten, Yet for it all, I'll Praise the Lord My thanks belongs to Him!
