Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme,
They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-remain the most beautiful words ever heard.

Janet Marie-11/14/99

Rain falls,
Night calls...
Lost in the missing you.

Time stands still,
Pain takes over my will...
Tears come-glistening in blue.

Heal my heart,
Loneliness depart...
Remembering promises made.

Living lessons learned,
Warmed by love returned...
Gifts of these moments in time.

Fate teaches the reasons,
God changes the Seasons...
Completed, I live in the light of this love.

Simple words, perhaps but sublime thoughts
worth the mention--Thank you Janet, for making the effort & taking the time to share them.  David

A good couple of poems.
I think the first one would read more easily if you divided the fourth line as follows:

Forgiveness and understanding remain
The most beautiful words ever heard.

The second poem is a treat to both the ears and the eyes.  The three line stanza works nicely.

Although I think the last line breaks the pattern I think you have a very succinct style and I like this poem a lot.
Thanks for all the info. on mine!

(smiles) Yes, yes, He will always bring blessings and light into every season for us all to behold just as every reason is juxtaposed within each one, in which the heart always can later interpret! (big hugggssssss) This is excellent, sweet friend, I LOVE IT, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Janet, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

JM darling girl this is full of light and wonder, simple words maybe but such beautifully penned ones, words that simply flow over my mind, really excellent writing here.

Wonderful writing, poetry doesn’t come a lot better than this. That first one is superb and the second Oh my word it is stunning in its simplicity. Excellent writing

I do believe that this is the calmest I have known you to be and you know I am loving seeing that side of you.  Simple words yet as complex as it gets until you accept the understanding without question.  Beautifully written and stated.

some flames burn forever.

the first poem is wonderful. short, true...
i know you dig MB20, but if you don't have "gutterflower" from the goo goo dolls (or any goo goo album for that matter) pick it up. i think it's right up your alley.

your second reminded me:

"want to get free, talk to me.
i can feel you falling.
wanted to be all you need.
somehow here is gone."

enjoyed this blast from the past. always an inspiration and a pleasure.

it's our struggle for identity that leaves us all unknown

Thank you everyone for your kind words to this write...its never easy to go back and look at our very early work, at least not for me...I hadnt seen that old second poem in a very long time..the first one is a "personal fave" for sentimental reasons of the inspire...but the things I learned and the heart-reasons that were behind these poems stay with me always.

thank you all again for your generosities.

jm

MidnightSon...you always find the right tunes
TY my friend...where have you been...good to see you back.

and Mark? I am always calm ...

Janet Marie,
Now, I too have lived these words. I think you reposted just to feed me soul. Thank you dear friend, always.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Neerja, Larry, mycafe and Dee-girlie...thank you for your heart felt replies and for allowing these to touch you...sometimes its the little things that we need reminding of...like I did of these old words of mine...thank you for allowing me to see them thru your eyes.

J.Marie: The first poem I was hoping to see the words I love you but forgiveness fits.  I can sense a struggle in the second poem but you bring all to a serene feeling in your last stanza. I thank-you for shining the Light of His Love...One Arm

Samantha,  Dear Lizzie, Mike, One Arm and Bae ...
thank you so much for the generous replies.

Mike? me thinks these old beginners rhymes arent "goddess" worthy...but hopefully shows how a person can grow and learn here, reading so many talented poets.

One Arm...welcome to Passions... so nice to meet you.

HEY BAE .... wasnt holding out on you, I promise....look at the posting date of this....someone brought an oldie up...If my memory is any good..this was my second post here at Pips.

Thank you all again for finding something special in these older poems.
