FIVE-
I looked at the sky
pulse after pulse, the clouds
roll faintly with each pulse-

soft…
were my hands…

summer sun behind
dark clouds…
the sun of July…1985

reaching…
"NO!" …
"Let him play with them"
"He's too old!"

~~~~thunder!
SEVEN that was.
FIVE-
my heart, o God…
I love you…
reaching…
I hold on for dear life
looking at the sky…
to you, Julie,
sister by blood…
always will I be there.
I love you…
                        God
I love me, with my
whole heart…
I have never lied…
blood…
my face, my legs-
       thorns
of the pit, several green ones-
I walk
smiling despite blood…
what an adventure, indeed!
the First-Aid spray
SO COLD!
I twitch
my mom holds my arms…
SEVEN-
Quiet whisper… ebbing…
the thought coming…
I have not yet sinned,
not with intent.
God is my refuge-
wonders I perform for Him,
He is the one I love above all.
Yet I love myself
                            too
                  much…
never too much, nay.
I give my love to all,
in their greatest hour of need.
The spirit
                   within
                                   trembles
with love pure.
Drying tears… comfort…
when one dies.
Crying, she stood there,
for her grandpa…
      he died in his 90s,
he was very special to her.
I saw her standing
    and signed,
"Aunt Jody, why are you crying?
Great-grandpa is in heaven
        with Jesus,
and he is very happy."
     Instantly her tears dried up
and a smile to her face
                                          came.
LOVE-
Love cannot die
                                     in God.
Kind of jumps around, but I just love the end of this!
 <*\\\><
Where there is faith,
there is love.
Where there is love,
there is peace.
Where there is peace,
there is GOD.
Where there is GOD,
there is no need.
Would that we all had the heart of a child. To see the world with the eyes of innocense.
Great Job..
Rebecca-
I intended for this to jump around. Memories do jump around, don't they?
Majestic-
You hit the nail on the head. I was remembering memories by looking through the eyes of innocense....hoping to recapture the feeling I had back then - I was so full of love for God....overwhelming faith. He was always whispering in the back of my head.....I felt him in my heart.....hour by hour.
This is terrific! It reminds me that Jesus tells us "to become as a little child". You've beautifully described a child's innocent joy.
