Hey! Hello! You up there!
Could you help me please?
I've stepped into a drop of quicksand
And sunk up to my knees.
I can find no branch or hold,
My rope is miles away.
My donkey died a few days back,
And to You now ... Lord ... I pray.
I've come too far to die this day
In a puddle such as this.
I've swum an ocean, rode a gale
Not ready for Death's French Kiss
It's only just a puddle, Lord,
And I've but far to go
I've heard Heaven helps us, 'cause
Lord, 'can't help myself no more.
I've tried and tried for three long days
Two nights and part of this
Three days of all my life ain't bad
And I know You never miss, but
You seem to take your own sweet time
You've got minutes left to tick
Perhaps you might could lend me some
Mine's going pretty quick.
The stars are sinking... so am I!
I'm almost to my waist.
I've tried to float, I ain't no boat
And the ground's too hard to grasp
You can jump right in any time
I'm waiting... patiently
But that, like time, is going quick
Please hurry, mightn't we?
"Hey, you down there! What's going on?
Quicksand got you trapped?
Well, I got some rose and with some hope
You'll be free." And then he laughed.
Thank you, God.  I knew You'd come
To save me here this night.
I knew it the entire time
'Believed always in Your might.
Ok... I had my little doubts,
But Lord, here now, who wouldn't?
But I've learned my lesson, Lord.
You saved me when I couldn't.

I really like this...It's sad that we always seem to doubt our Father until we can actually "see" Him working around us...

This was Fantastic! Excellent flow! He is always there, when in trouble or not. We just need to call out and talk with Him even when we aren't in trouble.  Though it seems it's always at the last minute, but our calls are always answered!
He is an awesome God! Splendid poem!
WELCOME!

Very nice work.  Like the idea of being in quick sand.  Can be a very good analogy.

Cute poem, Wendy.  Unfortunately most of us fall into this same situation of only learning this lesson when we can go no further on our own.  God is wonderful, isn't He.  For with His help, however, we can accomplish anything.

you know it's funny, people can tell you, the bible can tell you, and God can tell you a million times to trust in God to come through for you when you pray, but only when you're in a situation that you can rely no longer on yourself or anything else BUT God, do you actually learn to trust completely in Him.  What an awesome analogy Wendy, I really enjoyed this poem.  He saved you with a rose did he?  (hehe, just jokes i make spelling mistakes all the time).

Wendy that was great! How many times I forget to remember that He always puts me where I need to be and helps me exactly when I need His help, which is always! Your faith is beautiful!
