Water faucet

Who turned the water faucet on?
I haven't cried this much in months.
Yet here I sit writing of you again.
And it all seems fresh in mind.
As if it was only yesterday that we were under the stars.
Nothing between us.
My head on your shoulder,
a dream in my heart.
I shared it with you,
and you with me.
Together we could have conquered the world.
Alone, alone I'm not doing so good.
I try to move on,
I try to love, to let others in.
But there is such a big wall to break through.
I'm trying to protect that still fresh wound in my heart.
The one that reminds me of the fact I still love you.
I can't even pick up the phone anymore.
So afraid.
Worse then a little baby.
I want to call,
even if just to hear your voice for a second.
For a second, my heart would rejoice and the wall would come down.
I'm not even sure where the key is anymore.
If there is one.
I've been so lonely without you.
Unable to dream, unable to hope.
The future,
where is it?
Right now, I'm happy I make it through today.
Is this how you feel?
Or have you moved on,
as if I never was?
I hope not.
I carry your picture in my wallet,
and our love in my heart.
I hope someday you and I,
that we will be us again.
That is my only wish, my only hope, my only dream.
Cast out on the night,
onto the stars.
Just like we did that night when you held me next to you.
What happens next,
I'm afraid it's bigger then you and me both.
Not up to us, not in our hands.
So, in the mean time,
while God works his mysterious magic in our lives MJ,
I think I will look for a plumber.
One who can shut off the leaky water faucet.

isn't it funny how things work out and we are sometimes left sitting there wondering why? and why can't it be this way?  I guess that's when we really need to trust God's plan for us and that it IS for good and not disaster (jer 29:11-13 i think?).  You may be missing him very much and wanting what once was, but ask God - he may have some one entirely different and more suited just around the corner!  Hey and guess what?  God can be your plummer!!  (What a strange thought).  Anyway, hope you're not too down - i loved this poem by the way here i am just crapping on - it was really well written and i liked the metaphor of the leaky faucet!  God bless.

God can fix that leak, you know. (And with a lifetime guarantee, too). I'm not sure any other plumber can offer you that.  I can relate completely to your feelings here, have been through very similiar pain myself.  All I can say is God knows what He's doing, I understand where it was all necessary today, though for a long time all I could see was the hurt.  Hopefully, you won't take as long in giving God a chance as I did...for once I did, He not only stopped my leaks but showed me what "true" love really is the joy that it brings.

Well, it was fixed for a while (or maybe I should say ignored and buried) but when I give myself a chance to remember and think about, it's as fresh as it was three years ago!  And Michael, just so you know, that was HIS name.

Kelly, I liked that poem. It was very reflective. Very expressive. I liked the metaphors of the wall, the conquering of the world, and the leaky faucet. You aren't the only one who wishes for a leaky faucet to be turned off. I think mine was leaking last night- not physically by the eye, but by the heart! Being young is a hard thing.

This is very good, Kelly.  I still think you should sneak over to open.  (just my opinion, of course   )  I'll keep persuading you.
