If a man obtains silver and gold
  and does not obtain wisdom;
He will very soon have neither
   gold, nor silver, nor wisdom!
But if a man instead, seeks wisdom
   and obtains it alone-
Then soon shall have silver,
    and gold, and wisdom..

Come, let us consider money!
If you spend it not, but hold it,
Has it then been of benefit to anyone?
Yet if you spend it, then you have none,
Therefore, is not "none" of no benefit also...
So therefore, whether you have or have not,
Money should be counteddd as a minor thing
among those things to be considered...

These were given me by the Holy Spirit & thought I would share them with you here in the forum..
May God bless all of you abundantly,,I have come to
feel a kinship to you here in the forums, especially the spiritual one..I am beginning to see your spiritual being through reading your poems and comments..again bless all of you abundantly..

Yes indeed, and the simple scripture comes to my mind saying, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you."  Very powerful little proverbs here dad....isn't it funny how simple it can be?  And yet, we struggle with seeing the truth, and the simplicity?  We work ourselves crazy to the bone trying to see something that is right before our eyes.  Thank you for sharing yet another morsel of your wisdom with us.  I love you parp.  hehe

You cannot have 2 gods. You will serve the one and hate the other.  They say money is the root of all evil, for we cannot live without it. For everything in this "world" revolves around it.

Keep our eyes on Jesus, for he is the only God, and knows what we have need of.
Femme I've often thought the same thing, that I think sometimes we search so deep for a meaning, that I think we overlook it. That it is much simpler and in front of us, if we just used our common sense!

Where there is peace,
there is GOD.
Where there is GOD,
there is no need.

Thank you 3 ladies for your comments..I love your cross White-Dove..I also know what white represents in types & shadows and I know also what the dove represents. It descended upon our Lord Jesus when he came up out of the water after John baptised him,
and immediately He was driven of the Spirit into the wilderness! I love your poetry &  your spiritual insight.
D.S. Thank you so very much for your reply.
I am getting to know the spiritual poets on the forum mostly by their replies..You can almost always feel the Lord in some way in their replies. Love all of you-God Bless all of you.  Gennifer- you know I love you- you are such a sweet blessing to me. I love to read you express your little heart here on the forums. Again I love you very much. dad

You know, I read this and the first thing I wanted to say "But He who has God has everything....and if a man has God in his life and gives God to another, is he not then doubly blessed for he too has gained and no one has lost?"  Forgive for expanding on your idea...but it really clicked in me.  Great poem, James, I love your insight.

well i'm afraid i have to add my little thought to this - the first thing that came to mind was the scripture in Matthew about the sparrows - He gives knows our needs and takes care of them if we only trust Him - thanks dad for sharing these insights from the Holy spirit - isn't it so simple when He translates thoughts for us?  We tend to complicate things that were meant to be just simple.  God bless you!

Mae, thank you, but white, especially in Revelations stands for purity! But the Dove is right on. That is why I chose it! It was the exact picture in my mind of the spirit descending like a dove, when I picked this!
Glad you liked the cross!
