Please Dear God

Fragile and so young
sweet yet bitter
present and then gone
safe for a while
then lost in the haze.

Can we pull her back,
can we make her strong,
can our diligent prayers
come through for her
on this here day?

The kneeling we can do,
the praying we can do,
so on this day
my knees are bent
as prayers are sent to God.

Please Dear God,
bring her back,
and let her know her worth.
Bless this talented
child of yours
with love and tenderness.

God bless you LD! You have given me tears!
He is with her and she is doing alright, I have put an update in the announcements.
My dear your prayers were heard, as all of ours were! He has watched over her and kept her with us a while longer!  Thank you LD, I will email this to her Mom if you don't mind?

Thank you Gloria for remembering Melanie at such a crucial time.  I know I don't have to say this but I hope everyone is keeping her in your prayers.  Thank you also Rebecca for keeping us updated.

Michael.

Some times, tears can not say it all; He knows best, and He will come through ....
Your writing jumps out into reality ...

All I can say is AMEN!!!  Life is so very precious and each needs someone else to remind them of it.  You did it so well.

Gloria, I have avoided replying to this since I have been back because I have not known what to say to it.  I want to thank you, and your prayers as well as everyone elses have definitely been heard.  A lot has gone on this week, tough things, but tonight at church somethign happened and I wrote I guess a prose thing about it that I am going to post in a minute.  Thank you for this poem, it truly does mean a lot to me!!

Melanie, I don't know if I would know what to say either since I really don't know you except for your poetry, but something touched me that night and led me to write this. I am thankful to God for letting you continue your stay with us, he does have a destiny for you, and I know you are a blessing in many peoples lives. I enjoy your poetry and would have missed it if you had left us. If you ever need to talk feel free to contact me.

Thanks to everyone else who responded to this prayer, I just had Melanie's survival in mind when I wrote this.
