He is my best friend and one true guide,
My Master, My King, and My Lord.
He, the one and only thing!
Jesus Christ- Son of God,
Who is no longer ignored in my life.
He gives me all the love I will need.
For that my soul,
Well always be freed!

Hey there Jer! WE missed you around here! Glad to see your back! Short and says a lot it does. We certainly are freed through Him aren't we?

I agree with WhtDove, you've been missed.  He is, truly, the only thing constant in any of us - if we allow Him to be.  Your focus is definately in the right direction.

Sorry I have not been around lately.  I have just run into some unexpected obstacles in life and I have been trying to get around them.  This has been like my third time on the computer since Dec. 19th.  I went in for back surgery on the 20th and could not walk or sit in a chair until this week. I spent the holidays by myself and had church friends bring me food and help me around the house. In all ; Praise the Lord I'm getting better though!  I missed you all.

Hi Jer, I new to passions but your poem states alot. I'm glad to read that you are positive and trusting in the Lord to be there for you through your extensive recovery. I too know what it means to be hit with numerous obstacles all at once. But if we continue to trust in the Lord, and have faith that even through those trials and test he will be there to carry us and walk us through.  Keep the faith and your in my prayers. Read my poem "The Tree". I hope it encourages you.

Sorry you had to endure such pain but thank God for your church angels who watched over you, and that you're back reminding us our Lord is our ALL.  God bless

Oh no- I pressed Clear Fields instead of Submit..

Jer- I'll type it all over again. I found this enjoyable and quite cheering. I am also sorry to hear about your obstacles, but be thankful there are no obstacles between you and Him.

I love that fireman pic, too. It is relieving to know that there are people like you who enjoy putting his heart into helping others. Take care, and I hope you recover completely someday.

Being a firefighter, you probably think about God each and every time the siren goes off.  I still stop everytime ours goes off to say a little prayer.  Left over habit from catholic school.  I live all of 2 blocks from a fire department, thank God.  It was especially handy, however embarrasing, when some lovely kids set fire to an old matress we had out in the trash.  They were out there before I was.  I had not a clue what was going on.  When it was safely out, I retreated into the house to die of embarrasment!

Well, to tell you the truth.  I think of God a lot.  Not just because my profession is second most dangerous in the world, but because he rules my life and me.  I do however pray everytime I go out on a call. Should that be my last call I go on, I ways remember that it is not the last call that God shall ask of me.  However, thanks for reading my writings... it means more then the words I write.
