Sometimes I go through struggles < !signature-->That are just too hard to bear And sometimes it makes me wonder If you really care I cry to you when I hurt Spend the day down on my knees And pray you'll someday find the time To spare some love for me Life isn't always easy But you promised to be there Yet why am I all alone Feeling low and scared Forgive me if I turn away And walk on my own somehow Father don't you understand I feel forsaken now I need your power I need you love I need your wonderous grace Won't you send your healing flood In Jesus name I pray ~Christina [This message has been edited by Redzippie (edited 01-02-2000).] |

Aw, this is sad. We all go through those struggles. I've been there and felt like that! Sometimes it seems as though He's not there, but He always is. He promised us, that He would never leave us nor forsake us. It is us who leaves Him. He always LOVES us no matter what. He may not like what we've done, but He love us always. I like your poem. It is very touching - the poem talks about being ready to walk away, feeling forsaken now - but you keep on praying "In Jesus Name" This is important, your words echoes Jesus' own calling to His Father "Why have you forsaken me?" I think it is valuable to know He felt this way and still prayed too. I hope the prayer's response is found and the grace is felt. |

I think we've all experienced that same thing. But yet if we keep trusting and believing in Him, He will bring us through. Your poem is very lovely. Please submit more. |

What a sad but lovely poem. Truly captures that feeling of loneliness and discouragement so many of us go through at some stage. It's so cool to know though that even when we think he is a million miles away and doesn't listen to our prayers, he is right beside us the whole time, and will never forsake us. Read Hebrews 13:5 a couple of times and remind yourself that God loves you no matter what, and that even when you are in the deepes of oceans, he is there with you. Take heart, my friend, for Jesus has overcome the world. |
