(previously posted in the Critical Analysis Form)

With ambivalence, we bid Thee adieu
As we see You nearing your end,
You're the only Century we knew--
It's like losing a Dear, Close Friend!

May we pause and Remember your Life,
A Life that with us, You shared,
To mind comes your Glories and Strife--
But among your Kind, Well, you've fared.

We've marveled at your Technology
(That put the First man on the moon),
Which continues with such Rapidity
Of Change, that it makes our heads swoon!

You gave us many Celebraties
Too numerous to mention, by far,
But which Brightened the world we see--
And hung upon each a Star!

And now, as You near your Final Days,
Yielding forth to a Century New,
We'll long Remember and oft' Praise
The GRAND CENTURY, all our life through!

(As we look ahead to a New Time-Travel Friend, let us not Forget our True Friend(and Friends) of Years
Past)  God Bless each and everyone of you!

Nothing ushers in fond memories better than a loss and I'm sure you're absolutely right.  A joy to read... thanks.

Well if you put it this way, I guess then there are things to miss!  Though I guess my attitude hasn't been focused on these things this year!  Thanks for the reminder!

Beautiful, God bless you too David!
