I've flown like an eagle thru the darkest of times
And stood tall when defenses have failed
When it was time to give up, I kept up the fight
Knowing with you I was sure to prevail

When burdons have shattered my faith and my dreams
I cling to each promise you've made
That you'll sustain me and carry me thru it all
And I'll understand the reason someday

Though I fall short of glory with each step I take
You are there to renew my soul
To provide me with hope and the peace that I need
That fulfills me and makes me whole

Thanks Christina for sharing your poem of triumphant though tested faith. The key is in the trusting no matter what, isn't it?

You write very well. This says alot and make me think of the Psalms of David. Rejoice, Rejoice! I love the psalms, David was of course probally the most famous poet of all times.
