When will I understand God's love?
     It comes when least expected,
At the least likely hour of the most unlikely day,
     Only then my heart stirs
Like troubled waters from afar.
I try to keep deceit off my tongue,
for sin desires me every minute,
     but the cracks in the wall it knows well;
Why did I say my hands were cold,
yet wanting nothing, I got something?
From poor to rich, the gift went,
when I touched it, my heart cried,
"Has my mouth betrayed me again?"
     My hands were comforted, and
warmer yet, but troubled, rest my heart-
who gets away with a mitten for the cold
from a sweet-hearted girl, I wonder…
I have other luxuries but not this,
not against the cold steering wheel of the car,
     yet here it is.
I feel poignant, what shall I do,
since it came as a gift?
I will accept it, but
surely her reward will be greater than mine.

Beautiful Artur!

I don't think we'll ever fully understand God's love. It's hard to imagine someone loving us so totally unconditional. Someone who can seperate what we've done from who we are. Someone who can hate what we've done and still love us! Someone who is always willing to forgive you and accept you back with open arms.  What a wonderful Father we have!

Quite a gift! Reminiscent of the widow's mite, to me!

Arthur I'm glad someone saw that you were cold and did what they could to help. That is wonderful when the love of God shows through people like that!

Where there is love,
there is peace.
Where there is peace,
there is GOD.
Where there is GOD,
there is no need.
