I'm gonna tell you a story of man and love
now Daniel is the man, and love God above
Daniel loved God and to Him he would pray
The king said I'm God, worship me today

Now Daniel told the king, God is up above
I'll not worship you, but one God I love
Now the king he was mad, out of shape he was bent
Food for the lions, to the den Daniel was sent

Oh Daniel, oh Daniel in the lions' den
The lions are hungry, have not eaten since when
Daniel called on God, and an angel was sent
God's love saved Daniel, will save you too so repent

Now the moral of this story, God's love is true
Lions eat bad guys, not me and you
Jesus is true love, and God is his might
So tell everyone about Jesus, and fight for his light

Alright Echo! Go girl!!!  Strong message!
I love that story. It's awesome, just awesome. The firey furnace is too! Just awesome what you can overcome with God by your side! Think of entering in with hungry lions and coming out alive. Being thrown into a furnace 7 times hotter than normal. And not even get singed or have the smell of smoke on you! Our God is an AWESOME GOD!

Ahhh.... Yessss...... Our God truly is awesome.  Daniel and the lions has always been one of my favorite stories. I still love the story about Samson though. Powerful stuff.  Anyway.... Great poem. As always it is great to read the works of fellow believers and I get more excited to think that we will all meet each other one day in heaven.

Wonderful depiction, Echo.  Indeed, there is much we stand to learn from Daniel about true faith, and the protection God gives us.  I am always intigued by three men going into the furnace...but four being seen when they were looked upon from the door....We, truly, are never alone with God in our lives.
