I had posted this one a while back in one of the open forums. Just what I have been reading I felt the need to do it again. So those that have already seen this one, forgive me.

Are you in search of the perfect love,
That'll sweep you up like the wings of a dove?
You search the world over and you can't seem to find,
That perfect someone who'll give you the time?
Your hurting inside, you want someone there,
To hold you and love you, make you feel secure.
This love that you search for determined and bound,
Can be found up above, not here on the ground.
The people of "earth" cannot give what you need,
But our Lord and Savior gives it in deed.
For our Lord is so merciful, giving us much,
Healing broken hearts, with His gentle touch.
For you are His child, been wandering and lost,
He loves you, forgives you, He's paid the cost.
He wants you to stop and look up to Him,
For when His light shines, the worlds will grow dim.
For no one in this world you see,
Could possibly love you more than He.
For God is crying and hurting too,
He wants love from His children, that child is YOU!

Yes ma'am....there is so much truth in this !! I do know that when my eyes are not on God, my life seems to spin out of control....spiraling in so many directions, I feel helpless...but then, when I simply remember to include him in what I do, all of a sudden, things smooth out, and start to fall into place. I am so glad he knows what's best for us, because I surely do get off track from time to time. He has a gentle way of steering us back though....the guardrails of God. Thanks for sharing this...it's beautiful and gives me hope...

Thank you Femme! I fall short and lose my path too. Your right when we put our focus on Him things start coming back together.
God's guardrails? Good one! I like that!
I'm glad it could give you hope. This was inspired after reading so many people's sad, depressing poems about not finding love. A while ago from a different place.
Thank you for your warm words.

WhiteDove - this is very beautiful - but so hard to believe in sometimes. Your faith really touches me I have to say.
Thanks for this. K

Severn thank you for your lovely reply! I know sometimes it is hard to grasp. Believe me when I say HE did it for YOU!
And if you were the only person here on earth He would have still done it.  I would love to talk with you via email or icq...

OH, Rebecca , I love this poem and it is so very true. I learned that I only set myself up for much disapointment when I expected another human being to meet all my needs. I was very unhappy until I learned what you have written here. Only God knows and loves us perfectly enough to meet all our needs.
You have said it so beautifully with your gift as a poet extraordinaire! Love, Ellie

Thank you Ellie for such wonderful responses!
I wrote this a while back after reading so many depressing poems, lost love, or not having love...and this is the result of those feelings I had. I just thought to myself, don't they see?

Generally I think people are not satisified in relationships because they expect those people to be everything for them, to love them just the way they picture it should be. I was once stuck in that thought process too, until it was I actually realized just how unconditionally God loved me. Then it didn't matter so much anymore.

Rebecca - I agree with all of the other responses, especially Ellie.  I had to have the bottom above me before I finally realized that He is there, regardless of anything, or anyone else.  It was a tough journey, but oh what a wonderful feeling once I made it.  Thanks so much for sharing this one, it is jsut beautiful. So very well said 'becca!  So much truth...something I sort of needed to read right now too =)  Though I am still speechless as before, but enjoyed reading it again!

WhtDove, Beautiful and we can not be reminded enough, to love Him back. Some of most powerful personal blessings have been a direct result of "just giving Jesus a love offering".   You hit the nail on the head with this one.  God Bless, Marcy

Bonnie, I think most of us have to hit bottom at one time or another, cause when we do there's no other way but up.  I too had a very difficult time with it, but one day it just hit me and I was blown away. I had already believed, had been studying, and for some reason didn't really think of Jesus actually dying for me personally. But when it finally sunk in and I realized he is my Father, my true Father, and how much he loved me, I saw many things more clearly.

Thank you Melanie! I usually don't ever bring them forward like I did. So maybe now I understand the reason I did such a thing.    Because you needed to hear it!
I'm glad ya read it again hon. Thank you.
Love ya and big bear hugs sweetie!!

Marcy I agree with you! We do need to love Him back, and oh yes, we are blessed! Thank you Marcy.

living in dark passions now.
Love Joel.

Well thank you Joel for stopping by! I didn't understand what you were talking about either. But I do now!

Sorry you didn't understand what it was all about. Just that we look for the perfect love in life in humans, and we'll never find it. For perfect love can only be found in God.
