finally accepting my involvement with god, love and hate. The new plant a symbol of the good people who seem to find their way into my life; many thanks to you all, esp K.

Even the new plant calls to me
strokes my face
& deems torments unnecessary.
What is this Love that it
overleaps even my fear?
How do I combat the gentle wind
which enfolds me
& asks for forgiveness
acceptance
& peace?

No, no I am too fragile a creature
& too embittered.
You cannot want me,
so habitually broken
mending is a fable
& wholeness an ideal.

I cannot accept you
for you do not exist.

And this is what I say
to the new plant
which gently strokes my cheek
and dries my tears.

Welcome to Spiritual! God can take a broken vessel, shard of pottery which we are, and mend it. Put it together how it should be, He is the only true peace.

angypansy dear - you and I both know that peace is a hard thing to find and harder still to hold onto. I'm glad I have been helpful to you and that I am one of those 'good people' in your eyes. I really am here for you at any time (even while I am living in the same house as you!! Don't worry it's not forever!) You are a rare poet and as soon as you realise that the better my friend.
Love K.

Acceptance can be quite a challenge, especially when it's the acceptance of something you've been denied your whole life..."love". Welcome to the Spiritual Forum, SeaAngel, we do exist .

Severn, jewel, whtdove, micheal:
thanks for welcoming me so warmly. I am still a little shy of all this and its nice to see that encouragement can -and does- come from more than our faith, whatever that faith is.

"true love"is a pure love, warm, understanding, patient, soft, loving, caring, forgiving, seeing no fault, judging not, willing to give and expecting nothing in return,,,,it overflows fears, soothes wounds, heals self-condemnation,frees from entanglements, causes new life to spring forth where there was before only desperation and torment of the soul..this is from my own page of life...seaAngel,,but one thing I can assure you is that Jesus Christ is all these things wrapped up in one package..and we all need Him to love and nurture us all back together, after we have fallen off the shelf of life and broken ourselves into pieces,,this lets us know that we cannot fix our-selves;so we therefore call on him and yield our lives to His repair,,,get it.. may His Great Love flow over you like a warm blanket..Femmes' father...
