THE DEVIL SAYS
(James 4:7)

The devil says, "You'd best give up;
you know you can't last long.
Soon your resolve will just dissolve.
Temptation's just too strong."

Ungodly moderns tend to think
that Satan couldn't exist.
Then who is this disgusting thing
whose will I must resist?

Though Satan feigns to be so strong,
in truth he's cowardly.
My Bible says, "Resist the devil,
and from you he'll flee."

I like your emphasis on the Bible. Satan's mission to to deceive the whole world,(Revelation 12:9) and so far he's been quite successful, but by maintaining attitudes of true Faith & discernment, we can repel his evil assaults(EPHESIANS 6:10-16) and even as you have so well stated, actually make the Coward flee! Thanks for this important reminder. Your poem says it well.

And I just LOVE how when we tell Satan to leave, he has to! But he is right temptaions are strong, and that is why we need to use our sword (Bible) just as Jesus did when tempted by Satan...I'll have to post that poem of mine now that I am thinking about it...Great poem here though, it is always a great reminder for us that all we have to do is tell satan to leave and he will flee from us...Great job!

Great poem! In the name of Jesus only do we have that power. For HE gave us power over all our enemies!
