When God opens Heaven's gates as we cross that gulf so wide, the arms of Jesus, open as our soul will there abide. When God opens Heaven's gate we'll see beauty all around, our loved ones, too, will greet us as we leave this earthly ground. When God opens Heaven's gates there'll be singing angels there, the awesome peace and joyfulness will permeate the air. When God opens Heaven's gates and His light takes place of day, Jesus welcomes us forever as the one's who found "the way." ------------------ ~*~ Time erases and rewrites all the lines. What remains is the poetry! ~*~ |

Julie...I definitely enjoyed relishing in the moment! I like the ending too thanks, cause if we are to enter the gates we must have found the way! David...You are quite welcome and thank you for reading! It is definitely wonderful to have a God that will do that and SO many other wonderful things for us. Michael...Thank you kindly! Pepper...Thank you. The challege was inspired by a precious moments picture. I saw it in a book my brother has and since i love to draw (you can ask Rebecca that) I decided to draw it and while doing so I wanted to write a poem about it, and also see what others thought of when they imaged God opening Heaven's gates. Yes, a beautiful poem. We so often forget the great hope promised us. I'd change the final line to "As one who's found the Way." |
