What follows is the Lord's Prayer in a lipogram on the letter E. In other words, it contains no E's.

Our Papa

Our Papa up on high,
may all of us hold You in high honor.
Lord, our souls long for Your kingdom
and for a world in which things go Your way,
just as things do in Your own domain.

Grant us our food day by day.
And put away our sins.
(And may folks who sin against us
find us similarly gracious.)
Rid our path of stumbling blocks,
and guard us from Satan.

For You only sit as King,
mighty and glorious,
now and always.

I like your style, your very creative! Whoa look at all those E's I used...hehe...
Done on the Lord's prayer. I like this very much. If I may point something out to you that I hold to be true, about the giving of "Daily bread." I guess it can be taken as that also, but I was taught it was His word.
Just something I wanted to say. I enjoyed your poem very much. You really are very creative!!!

Thank you for your kind words. I wrote this a few years ago. I was going to do the whole New Testament, but I fizzled out in the middle of Matthew 12. One of the hardest verses for me to do was: "Thou shall not commit adultery" (Matt 5:27). How do you say that without any E's? You can't say "marriage" or "wife." I finally settled on,
"Don't fool around, but marry and stay faithful."
