Death comes without an invitation,
To invade the fam'lies of all nations
Of those bound close by Love's Devotion--
To sever one-as if, by an ocean!
And One for Death, will never do,
Before too long, He's taken Two!
And won't be satisfied so long
As one survives to mourn those gone!

So goes Life, and Love, and Dying,
Despite the Wealth of all our trying
In this life, we can't hold on,
We love our "Loved Ones," but soon they're
gone.
And prob'ly for them-'tis Better so,
Than to remain in such pain below;
With bodies worn by Time's sore plunder,
Is it really any wonder?

Yet comes the MARVEL, despite Death's
Separation,
Death is not Victorious--there is Reparation!
For those left behind--yes, there is sadness,
But more closely, there is room for Gladness!
For Death which once severed two loving souls
then,
Now, Together has brought them, REUNITED
AGAIN!

(I wrote this in 1991 of a couple whose deaths were fell very close together)

Indeed, David, death is so often misunderstood. Most of us fear death and remorse over loved ones lost, but some culures actually celebrate the release of the spirit from the human entity, for in this they believe there is no death.

You'r poem brings the term "Blessed Reunion of Souls" to mind. I've never actually listened to that group, maybe I should. Good job.

Very well done! We do so mourn when our loved one's go. Only because we miss them, but we have to remember they are fine and in a better place. Wonder if we acually mourn because we are envious? Just a thought!

I am reminded of a Precious Moments picture by Samuel Butcher entitled "No tears past the gate" He drew it for a fried of his when his friends 8 year old sister was dying. It was a reminder of Psalm 30:15 "...weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." We all mourn for those who die, but we should celebrate, for they are only fleshly dying, but if they believe in Jesus Christ they have eternal life. Where they will be happy and ful of peace and enjoyment. I think the ones we should mourn for are the ones who die unsaved not knowing Jesus Christ! That is why we must do our part in telling others about Him. Great poem grat message!
