Perspectives

What I see in all of this
Is not what others have assumed
For life is seen in different ways
From different corners of the room

Perspective may be quite distinct
As from a different point of view
But what I see and what I know
Is my own way of knowing you

So I don't always put much faith
In who another says you are
The vision from within my eye
Is much more dear to me by far

And though my friend may sit by me
Within my corner of the room
He may describe a daffodil
While it's a rose that I assume

So let his heart decry your name
With all authority it knows
And I will look upon your soul
And savor more the smell of rose

I really enjoyed this piece Liz....
Wonderful "perspectives" from such a beautiful heart!

A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire!

Dearest Pepper,
Thanks so much for your comments and for that riotous Christmas greeting, which I am passing on to all of my politically correct friends. It does illustrate so well how rediculous it all was, but then I was always politically incorrect.
Love ya,
Liz

How true, Elizabeth. What I see is just that-what I see. Different people take things differently, which is what makes the world what it is.

And give her to the god of storms,

Denise,
I will kiss them for you, til you have a chance to do it yourself.
Thanks, dear. Merry Christmas.
Liz

Elizabeth,
You're right, and I usually see the rose.
Thanks, Elizabeth

Elizabeth,
A rose is a rose, is a rose,
But each one of different impose.
Your wisdom and clarity,
Goes far beyond parity.
Another exquisite poem.
Love ya,
Sy

Perspective is all...
and I perceive that I love this poem!

And the truth of it - wonderful work, Liz.

(Hope you're having a great christmas day!
You can have some of the chocolates I received - phew...)

Such a shame that more people don't feel this way. Good thoughts, Elizabeth.
