Another lonely Christmas Eve- I wonder at the fuss.... That people make about the season, The bustle and the rush..... I know the Christmas story- And believe it to be fact. But why do people always put- On such a phony act? The stores are filled with shoppers And most the goods are gone.. They’re planning get togethers- But I will eat alone. I’ve spent a Chrsitmas Eve in jail But that was long ago- I’ve nearly frozen one or two- Out in the cold and snow. I used to cry myself to sleep- Now, all my tears are gone.... I’m one of faceless thousands Who goes through life alone. So, Christmas? Merry Christmas? May yours be filled with bliss- I do not need your pity- I tell it like it is...
