A Matter Of Faith

I am baptized
in the soft, white moonlight
that filters in
through my bedroom window.
I am born again
by your touch.

I am cleansed
as each of your kisses
washes away
all the hurt and the pain of the past.
I trust again
in your arms.

I am redeemed
and brought up from the depths
of my despair
to the never ending heights of passion.
I live again
in your love.

I kneel at your altar;
drink from your chalice;
bathe in the offering of your love;
and in your faith,
I learn to love again.

 "I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me , this has always been enough." ~Nicholas Sparks from The Notebook

Hoot -
BEAUTIFUL !
This may well be my favorite
out of all of your writings.
But then .... the day is not over !
You have a ~special~ Muse.

Ruth
Sometimes our hand writes not the verse
The inspiration is divine
The word comes from the heaven above
And it is He who writes the rhyme
This is the best

Beautiful. That's all I need to say.

Ruth, when you throw yourself into a poem you are unsurpassable. This is excellent.
