This was written only about a year and a few months after "Forever Friends"...in my opinion its not all that great bit I wrote it when I was feeling really down and out... **************************************************** "Four girls, four friends Met along a common path -- The path of life. All mere acquaintances of once... Now to be Forever Friends." Oh where oh where did that feeling go? Have we lost it girls? Maybe -- Time and the experiences of life brought with it Brought us through hell and back In only a year since my original. Michelle, I reiterate -- You brought us together, you were always so strong, Have I ruined that? Could you still hold us together... Our darling lone Aquarian? Heather, Miss Compassion, Can you keep your famous love flowing for us? Could you mold us back together? Liz, our Baby, have you also been led astray? We're in desperate need of your sensitivity here... Could you help us? And on to me, once again... Oh what can I say? Besides that I have screwed up! I wonder... Could I ever pull us back together? I want that, I need that... Girls, do you miss the "Fearsome Foursome" as I do? Are we ready to try again? It can't be one of us doing the work... All for one, one for all... Can we do it? You bet -- let's try again: "So here we are... Four girls...always to be Forever Friends?!?!?" **************************************************** This attempted poem was our first step at rebuilding our lives together. We decided to not let something so great slip away. I hope you all have friends like this. Its hard at times...but we're trying. Soon we know we'll be strong again... If you love something, set it free, if it comes back to you, its meant to be... |
