         The bells of rhymes

There lived a princess in another time,
Who kissed a prince in verse and rhyme,
Awoke him from the living dead,
By rhyming love into his head.

In words she wove her golden thread
And cloaked him with this golden web.
Lead him to her ivory tower.
And loved him there with all her power.

And he loved her back in such adore,
She could not ask such love for more.
They built a garden, a fantasy world.
Of phantoms and thing unsoiled.

They spoke each other in verse and rhyme
And lived in happiness for quit a time.
But the world they lived was all a dream.
And dreams come to an end it seem.

He fell asleep one final day.
And she laid his loving head away
In golden threads of verse and rhyme.
That rang like bells of golden chime.

You can hear them still, this very day,
Just read a rhyme and chimes will play.

Eloquent, beautiful, wonderful, flowing
Well worth reading, rich and glowing
If anyone asks me, what is it
I would say, it's exquisite
Love ya,

Seymour -

The bell doth toll.
I hear it in the distant night.
Ringing out from the tower
a cacophony of sound.
Such talent you possess, my friend.

They sound and smell like a rose sometimes.

Oh, I love this Sy!! You've got me sighing again...as you do so often...

A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire!

Wow, that's how I'd like to live! Of course, that's wishful thinking at its height, considering those last 3 stanzas...*sigh* Oh well. I suppose poetry is the closest we will ever come to that.
