Nearing midnight, can't you feel it?
                     Like a fast approaching cloud-
Fear, and death; and awful terror
Makes you want to scream aloud.

                     Something in the midnight darkness-
                     Wakes those atavistic fears-
You overcame your fear of darkness
Haven't felt like this for years.

                     Shadows dancing on the carport-
As the myrtle bends and waves,
                     In the breeze is reminiscent,
Shadows on the walls of caves.

Hear a siren in the distance-
                     Shrill and undulating wail-
Like the scream of some great hunter
                     Making feeble hearts to quail.

Nearing midnight! How I dread it-
Though I'd never tell a soul-
                     How the urbane veneer shatters-
                     And the terrors take control.

Your style of poetry is definitely different. I gusee I'm ging to call your style "rough poetry" because your style is in complete contrast to all of the other soft and delicate poetry on this board. And you are good at your style. Your style is unique because, it's yours and nobody else's.
