Have you ever felt emotions.. Which your words could not describe? In part a desperation- To run somewhwere and hide? In part a flaming anger- That happiness eludes... Your every quest to find it... And false hope oft deludes. Perhaps a nagging longing- For sweet companionship? Which often seemed within your grasp- And yet you let it slip.... Away. Yes, oh, so far away- From all the life you’ve known- And oft you’ve cried yourself to sleep And wondered where it’s gone. Perhaps it’s age, which causes me To sit and meditate- And curse the day which I was born And blame it all on “fate”. I guess the truth which we all know- If only we could take it... Is that bed on which we lie... Is exactly like we make it. |
