“Angel”

An angel fell before me,
On wings made of glass,
She told me that she's happy,
That I've found true love at last.

Her eyes were soft like velvet,
Colored vibrant blue,
She whispered no matter how hard it gets,
To never stop loving you.

Her hands were like pure ivory,
And the warmest glow arose,
From every breath that escaped her,
Every question came to close.

She said our love is eternal,
And to never give you up,
Even when it all seems lost,
Your love will be enough.

Her time was running short,
As she faded from my view,
Her words I'll hold forever,
"He'll never stop loving you."

I tell myself it must be real,
Not knowing if I'm right,
Because it felt like a dream,
That swept across my life.

Telling me in reality,
All that my heart knows,
There's no ending to our story,
No death to this love's rose.

But a book that's read forever,
Through each other’s eyes,
And the angel’s grace that told me,
To us ~forever~ should come as no surprise.

"And the angel’s grace that told me,
To us ~forever~ should come as no surprise"

These two lines marry beauty and truth so well. So well.

This piece stopped me in my tracks. 'Tis very well done and worded. It likes me much.

Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~.

This Angel came to touch your heart and make it forever strong. The beauty of your words alone show how much love you already feel. This Angel will always be near guiding you as you reach for your everlasting love. May the beauty of the season shine through your eyes and illuminate every step you take.
