I’ve told myself a hundred times, Or, maybe even more. I’d finally learned the lessons Which this romance held in store. Love is for some people- It fits them like a glove, But maybe I’m the kind of guy Who isn’t meant for love. It seems that all I ever do Is make somebody mad... Instead of bringing happiness I always leave them sad. I’d like to be a happy man- I guess I don’t know how- I’ve never been less happy, though Than I am feeling now. I’ve hurt enough to satisfy- My masochistic heart- If I must hurt, I’ll hurt alone- It’s better if I part. I think my tears might fill a lake If they all showed outside, I’ve had about all I can take Of all this macho pride. They tell me that a man don’t cry- And maybe that is true- But if it is, I have a secret To confess to you..... I guess in truth I’m not a man Perhaps I am a worm- But if you really want a laugh Just sit and watch me squirm. [This message has been edited by Gunslinger (edited 12-23-1999).] |

Well done my friend. I am never sure if you write from your life or are just simply brilliant. (or both)I just have a couple of comments on the content. I believe that a real man knows how to cry and when it is appropriate to show vunerability. The other thing is this. I believe that there is no one that isn't made for love. There is always someone that can love so freely and completely that the anger becomes temporary. We are all human and we all make mistakes. True love is about accepting someone for who they are and letting them be that person. Acceptance and forgiveness.....Patience and understanding. Ok...so I said more then my 2 cents worth.  |
