Eyes of deepest blue, sometime-
                      Entrance the very soul-
                      Extend the tentacles of hope-
                      Emotions to control.
                      Depthless, swirling visions
                      To captivate the mind-
And men who can resist them
                      Are very hard to find.

While eyes of gray? A dreamer-
And she can catch you up.....
And draw you through the mirror-
                      To, in her dreamworld, sup.
                      You talk about your visions?
And this to you I'd say-
No dreamer dreams as well as she
Who has the eyes of gray.

And girls with eyes of emerald?
                      Ah, foolish lad! Beware!!!
Those eyes of green, with faery sheen
Will catch you in a snare.
Ah, shamrock lass, I know your tricks
                      You're like the leprechauns-
                      Your list of mischief, trickery-
the list goes on and on.

But let me set the list aright-
                      Before my pen wears down....
If you would have one treat you right
Look for the eyes of brown.
Soft and doelike in their gaze-
                      Direct and honest, too...
I fear they lack the witchery-
Of green, or gray, or blue.

Slinger -
You are wonderful and have
a great sense of humor.
(I hope)

Ah, the hue of green
worn by leprechauns ...
is the very shade
that my eyes have on.

Blazing with the luck
of the Irish lass in me,
the pot of gold at the end
of the rainbow of trickery.

Looking ye' in eyes of brown,
leaves me out ... that's it !
Green is the color of life ..
brown could be full of s---!
