Continuance

Certainly as the furrow
cleaves through pasturage
wrenching out rhizome,
disturbing stalk,
preparing the field
for resurrection-
*
Age as surely
furrows through existence-
in germination,
bearing fruit,
harvesting its bounty
from a generation.

Thanks to all of you. This is a rewrite of a poem I posted awhile back called "Time". I just thought I would expand a few of my poems and see what happened.

I have been busy again battling in another group. I wasted my time.

You know I have found that yes, Dylan Thomas, Anne Sexton, Sylvia Plath and a couple of others were "great" poets. Yet they all killed themselves.

I imagine they would trade being a "great" poet for a happy life.

You all have a happy time with your families too.

Robert, Your rewrite is great, I remember the the "Time" poem which was also great, but this one dances as the message is relayed. May your holidays bring much happiness and inspiration to keep these poems flowing with such grace.
