'Twas the night before Christmas
And all 'cross the Net,
Were lurking the poets
I recently met.

The quatrains were written,
The free verse was parsed,
In hopes that one person
Would see our true hearts.

With pain in our rhymes
And joy in our verse,
We quickly logged off,
All to disperse.

While I, at my desk,
Recalled their kind posts,
And the forums we shared
On faraway  hosts.

Amidst the tears that we cried
Were the smiles that we sent,
With the fears that we shared,
And the help that we lent.

One last poem this year
I feel I must write:
Merry Christmas to all,
And to all a good night.

Ron, this is wonderful. And though I know the posts will decrease in the next few days, I also know there will still be those lonely souls who seek solace here in the family of poets.  May God bless you and give you peace, laughter and love. Stay safe during this holiday season...because you are the reason we are all here.......thank you!

Twas the net before Passions,
Good-grief what a drag,
The same old websites,
No fun could be had.

Then LongJohn the sailor,
Steered me in this direction,
Said I'd enjoy without failure,
And it's been quite a blessing.

I guess Ron's much like Santa,
This present he's given,
To all of us "children,"
A poetry heaven.

So we thank you dear Ron,
For this website you've built,
And gave it to us like "Santa"
Here...have some cookies and milk!

And have a happy and joyous holiday sir, and a better New Year....I know I've caused you to roll your eyes, shake your head, and ya probably sent many nasty emails to LongJohn for telling me about your site....but I've honestly enjoyed it, the fine poets, and hope to be able to play here next year......Thanks again...

burned brightly
flickering
to life

Same to you, sir!  I have to say this is an enduring gift you've given.  It doesn't fade or wrinkle and it's always the right size and I never tire of playing with it.

Ron, this is so sweet, but you have already given us such a gift by giving us this forum where we can post and read and make friends and learn about ourselves once more. Thanks is such a small word in comparison to what you have given us, but thank you anyway

I hope my sincerity will make up for any lack of poetic eloquence on my part, a bit ill I am.

Ron 'tis a wondrous world of words you have built for us to live and play in. Thank you for that and much more. I am glad you had the time and inclination to write this poem. To add to Lady deVine, I am one who will be here on Christmas Eve and Day.

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas, Ron. No matter how many or what kinds of gifts I receive this year, yours was the best. Hopefully, each poem I post will be a thank-you note. Best wishes!

You know how little kids, ages two and younger, seem to be more interested in the box than what came in it?  Well Ron, you've made that box a far more interesting place to play in for this kid.  Thank you for this wonderful gift, for all your time and energy, and for all the wonderful people I've come in contact.  You and yours are a class act and are much appreciated.  Happy Holidays and may you be bug free in the new year.

Ron, Did You Know

When you opened tis poetry forum
It'd be the best or only friend to some?
Did you know it'd be a healing place
where many diversely interlace?

Did you know such wit and wisdom exists?
That no emotion would be missed?
Some lonely lives would be spared?
So many cared 'bout feelings shared?

Did you know it would give wings
to all who care about more than things?
That it would be so far reaching
to include the great arts teaching?

Did you dream it could ever mean so much?
So deeply and permanently tender hearts touch?
Had you any idea welcoming me
how eternally greatful I'd be?

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Please don't go away Ron,
your work is too good.
You are as good as an icon,
who words have helped me understood,
the meaning of life,
the best you could.
If you leave our website,
have a happy life
but, I know that you'll come back
because, poetry is something you can't lack.

Nate Dogg - Don't worry - Ron can't leave Passions... He IS Passions...

... You know, everyone - Toerag isn't far off. Ron is indeed very much like Santa... He's an interminable "giver"... a beautiful man, inside and out.... He's got the same wonderful twinkle in his eye.... and he lives at the North Pole....
Maybe he is Santa...

... Ron, my dearest friend - You know that there simply aren't words to adequately express my appreciation for you...

Indeed Kind Sir, you unknowingly opened friendships and doors for so many.  Passions alone is a wonderful gift for us all.  May I again wish you and yours a safe, loving and Merry Christmas.

Reach inside your heart, that is the greatest gift you can bestow. Merry Christmas..

Here it is your birthday and I figured someone would like to see you really are not the Grinch!  What a sweet poem Ron, I didn't catch it first time around, but it is SO you!  Happy Birthday, and Merry Christmas (for next year) there killed two birds with one comment.
