I
aloft
in my own place

temper
the cause
for flight

dusting slowly
of myself

yet still
I echo larger wings

                      beat too high

fling myself
to tatters

and recover
through a touch of garden
                              lush

Can a wisp
of lifebeat

possibly know sunlit
                         skies
for long?

Could I flight
                    sifting
of myself
unhurried

weaving to the pulse
of normal life?

...not what my wings were born for...

A wingflit out of time
I fly

a wandering creature
searching
for petalled rest

yet
too sensate
of mystery
for flowered peace

I
unchained
defy

the living of my kind

Kamla,
"Flowered peace"
"Petalled rest"
Only from your pen, my dear
This is absolutely exquisite!

Liz,
I just really wanted to depict why I am so drawn to feeling as a butterfly...~shrug~ - don't know if this did the trick!

Thankyou dear friend - you boost me.

Severn -

On softest flight
across the yard
of petals
yet to find
you flit
and
come to
light
gently
in my
mind

Little
butterfly
of brilliant blue
flutter by
and
as you do

Touch
my heart
continue
your flight
Little
blue butterfly
on your
cycle
through life

Love ~Marge~

Severn -- the word beautiful somehow is not good enough to describe this.  Be gentle in your flight so as not to tatter those beautful wings...

Marge -- why in reply do you post such a beautiful message.  It deserves a post of its own.

Kamla -
Back to the top with you
little blue butterfly ...
you are too lovely
off the page, to fly.

You are inspiration
on flitting wing ..
your lovliness fluttering
with touch of spring.

(*Thanks RS ... I did just that.)

fly free
fly high,
defy
deny

chains only chain
when bound
by grief
by hate
by design

you
are the maker
the chooser
and the wind
fly free
fly high
just fly

in the winds of chance
of change
may you find
a petal of rest
for your weary heart
