I'm lost in thought, again, I see
Another mem'ry calling me
I gently slip into the past
I'll be right back, I'll be real fast.

I linger there...perhaps too long
But can't you hear that lovely song?
How can I leave before it's done?
That soothing strain has just begun.

What's that you say...it's time to go?
There's work to do, of course, I know
You go ahead, I'll be along
I need to hear just one more song...

Another lovely melody
Another mem'ry calling me.

Oh can I relate to this....like rushing somewhere then sitting in the parking lot to hear just a little more of one on the car radio.  Thanks

Here's to those moments that bring a smile to our face. Those moments that we slip back and slow down! Thanks Denise

Yes - songs bring back those memories, that's for certain.

Another great poem, Denise.

We both have lost someone near and dear
And neither dwell in the past I fear
But for this refrain I'll say it clear
Thank You, Denise.  You're such a dear.

Try as I might to focus on your refrain...my mind keeps wandring back again...
