riding the bus in the night
walkmans playing amongst eerie light
muted voices talking through the ride
people in the darkness wanting to hide
class a's, class b's and civilian attire
everybody sleepy and wants to retire
21:15 on my watch, almost time for bed
yet I have to ride this bus and keep a clear head
outside of Tallahassee and still heading west
I'm starting to wish I was in the leaning rest
pt is a good idea, as my body is stiff and sore
I wish there was a drill sergeant so I could ask for more
sit ups, pushups, even front back go
I want some though my mind tells me no
funny thoughts and crazy dreams rage inside my mind
product of too much caffine, there I'll be you'll find
so pass the coffee, pass the pop, pass them here and now
keep me up till I get home; some way, some where, some how

shine a light so bright that all can see
and you will find the joys that echo within me
