Dreaming
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

When the sheep
are counted
one last time,
I'll slumber
in dreams of you.
Covered
in your love,
no other heart
beats
so true.

The dreams
will take me
to the glen we know so well.
The glen
of our dreams,
where
the two of us
will dwell.

No need for words spoken,
our bodies speak the lines.
Your strong masculinity
covering me
in lost time.

When at last
my eyes do open,
I will wonder
if you knew,
how I loved you
in the glen of dreams,
as much
as I
still do.

What a beautiful dream, Marge, and of course a beautiful poem.

Nail to the mast her holy flag,
Set every threadbare sail-
And give her to the god of storms,
The lightning and the gale!

This is awesome. Good job, It takes a lot to make me like a love poem because there is usually no originality or difference between them all, but this was good.

My lucky night ... I've been visited by the 'Dream Team' of ~Double Elizabeth's~ again !

Elizabeth, my friend -
Thank you.  You always have the nicest things to say ... whether writing or responding.

Other Elizabeth -
I do like dreams ... glad you like this.

Fairy Colours -

What a delight your words are to this ~love~ poet.  Love is the essence of everything we are passionate about.  Love can be the simplest and yet the most eloquent topic of which we all speak.
I am so glad that you found this one to your liking.  Hope you come back for more.

Denise -
Sweet dreams to you too, my friend.

Balladeer -
Ah, my sweet Balladeer ...
meet you in the glen.
Wipe that smile off your face !
The forum is watching !
*giggling*
~Marge~
