Maryann How do you describe amazement? I will attempt in utter vain… for I am a poet of elegance, but yet unable to speak such beauty I saw that day… How do you describe amazement? This is my attempt… Dreams… floating in memory… I wish to seep behind her eyes, to know the thought which is created from love, love which God must have had to create the essence of you A soft blue, eyes twinkling like dots of power which light the sky… How else do I describe amazement at the thought of you At the thought of your touch At the thought of your breath, seeping into mine? I can't find the perfect word, the word which means more beautiful than hope, more beautiful than faith, for when I see you… my heart can't wait It flies in merry circles, beating wings with power, at the mention of your name Is this but a game? A game in which beauty is prized? For you are the highest prize. The gift which is more precious than stone My heart begged to be alone. In vain I silenced the moan. The desire to have love, to be love Then I saw you that day. Blue eyes gleaming, hair shining, I tripped at the sight of you, I tripped into love. As I fell, the feeling of comfort washed my senses, tore my pain, and cleansed my heart As if I was granted another start, Another attempt at finding peace, the ultimate joy, The pleasure of eternal love.
